Did you know that only about 2% of high school athletes
will be awarded some type of athletics scholarship to attend
college?

That's right. According to the National Federation of State
High School Associations, nearly all of our high school
student-athletes will be doing something other than playing
college sports after graduation.

That's why we feel it's more important than ever to honor
our high school student-athletes! So, we have created the
Positively Sports Award to do just that!

The Positively Sports Award selection committee will not
only take into account a student-athlete's performance on
the court or on the field, but they will also place special
emphasis on a player's academic performance. Consideration
may also be given in regard to community involvement.

Starting in September 2024, a high school student-athlete
(FR-SR classifications are all eligible) from central Arkansas
will be awarded monthly with the Positively Sports Award!

And that's not all! At the end of the school year, on May 8th,
the inaugural Positively Sports Award banquet will be held
in Conway at the Brick Room Events Center. The event will
be catered by Pasta Grill, and will feature special guest
speaker and presenter Sidney Moncrief (pictured at right)!
